Story about the Buddha giving sermon to the devatā (god/spirit); in the sermon, the Buddha said that one who has done dāna (generosity / giving away) is an auspicious deed that will lead him/her to the state of Nibbāna. In the story, Monk Tissa asked a layman where he lived and the layman said he lived in a village near the town. He invited the monk to visit him when he has chance.
